Downfield Golf Club

Originally designed by James Braid, Downfield was established in 1932 but the course layout was altered slightly in 1964. It is a test for the top golfer yet remains playable for the novice. The five fantastic par 5's separate Downfield from most courses, and with trees and water features in evidence on most holes it is a beautiful place to play.

The 11th hole at Downfield a great holeand is the club's signature hole. Downfield has played host to the Scottish Amateur and Professional Championships but the hosting of the 1999 Final Open Qualifying put it firmly on the golfing map.
