of St Andrews was established in 1754 as a small private society. It has evolved over the last 250 years as a leading authority in the world game.

Glamis Castle

Broughty Ferry CastleGlamis Castle has been the family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne since 1372 when Sir John Lyon was granted the thaneage of Glamis by King Robert II.
It's the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother. HRH Princess Margaret was born here.

The Castle is open from 29th March to 31st October 2003. The daily opening times are 10.30 am to 5.30 pm. In July and August, the Castle will open at the earlier time of 10.00 am. The last admission each day is at 4.45 pm.

Guided tours are available as well as exhibitions, gardens, shops and children's.
